About Alexander

Okay, okay, I know you're getting sick of it, but I just have to write this.
More reasons why I respect and admire Alexander the Great so much:

I always believe that human personality is defined more by nurture than nature. I find it true in most people I observe. But in Alexander, it's completely unproved.
Philip, Alexander's father always underestimated and criticized him. Like in Bucephalus' case. In this modern time where I live, children who are underestimated by their parents grow up to be either shy or having inferiority complex, or both. Very few grow up to be confident adults. However, we all know (well, at least we all who read about Alexander) that Alexander had this undeniable exceptional confidence.
It seems that no matter what's being taught and doctrined to him, Alexander had his own thoughts and opinions and principles. And he lived by these beliefs of his own, diminishing whatever other people might have told him.

Aristotle was and is still known for his little respect for women. Aristotle thought that women are "unfinished men". Being the teacher of Alexander, of course that was exactly what he taught to Alexander and his other disciples in Mieza. But somehow, Alexander grew up to be a man who had special respect for women. Very interesting, especially because in Alexander era, women are believed to be as low as the slaves.

Christmas in Singapore

It's Christmas' season already in Singapore! I love Christmas, it's one of the holidays I love the most. No, wait, it's the only holiday I love.
Anyway, the Christmas ambiance is felt strongly here in Singapore. Most of the shops already have they're Christmas tree installed, and the Christmas decoration can be seen everywhere.

The magnificent thing of all is, you can see all the way from Tanglin road, to Orchard to Dobby Ghout (maybe even further, but I'm not sure), the highways, streets and trees are decorated with lightings and purple snowflakes. Oh, my favorites! Snowflakes and the color purple!
Also, the theme of this Christmas is 'A Fairytale Christmas'; How unique!
I heard Singapore government spent a huge sum of money for the lights: S$80 million, wow!
And, to add the attraction, there is -as usual- end of year sale everywhere :p So, if you live everywhere else, you really should visit Singapore this times of the year.

Yes, I miss his "soul". How he never failed to give me a sense of security whenever I'm with him. But, I barely knew this, he always feel insecure whenever he's with me. How sad, and how pathetic I am. I push away the only guy I want to be close to. And he never realize how much he means to me, how he's so great in my eyes.
And now that I really think about it, he WAS and IS the best guy I've ever known :'( I miss him.

Well, I stumbled onto this video of Lindsay Lohan's 'Over', and I almost cry when I watch it. Nope, not exactly because of the touching story the video clip tells, but because of how resemble it is to the story I have in my head for so many years! -- I even already have the name and the background for each character! *shudder with excitement*


Yeah, it is my bad that I've never wrote the story down. Well, not yet. I currently have two other stories I need to write down. Grrr, I have so many stories in my head that I just couldn't write onto words.

My alter ego

Valinka Halliwel who was born on 4 December 1987, is a mixed blood. Well, not quite actually, her mother, Valescha Kwan comes from a pureblood family, while her father Christian Halliwell is a mixed blood.. She is also a mixed blood in another way. Her mother is a Chinese. That makes her has long dark-brown [almost black] hair with big light-brown eyes.

Valinka's surname which originally 'Halliwell' is intentionally spelled 'Halliwel', to differentiate her due to her Whitelighter hybrids. As she is half Whitelighter, she has the ability to orb (including telekinetic-orbing, which is the ability to call for an object and orb it to somewhere else) and to 'heal'.

Lately, I LOVE making avatars -or whatever you might call them. Especially Harry Potter-related ones. I guess it's because I joined these two websites which gets me in the "Harry Potter mood".

1. I'm so excited with this one! Maybe because it's represent the things I've never had: all dress up to a prom with my dream guy *lol*. By the way, the "dream guy" in the picture is Harry Potter's character.. Guess who..!

2. These are the avatars I made for my "school". The first one is kinda silly, well, it was my first attempt to make small avatar. The second and third are the same but in different houses, because in Hexrpg I'm a Slytherin, while in HOL I'm a Gryffindor.

3. This was made for a contest. *praying* I hope I'll win it..

I made second version of it, and I think it is looked better.

4. These, are made for my glorious house, Slytherin. Well, I always consider myself as a Slytherin, not a Gryffindor. Slytherin rocks!
